Nancy Hidalgo is a contemporary poet. Born and raised in NYC, NY she moved to Kensington,Brooklyn at the age of 4. Nancy attended all her school years in Brooklyn. She graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School and later studied at Medgar Evers College for 2 years majoring in Liberal Arts. She worked for Eenamaria Company as an assistant to an up and coming New York City fashion designer. By far this was Nancy's most exciting career ever. She helped set up trade shows and had the opportunity to attend events one in which included the best fashion desingers known around the world such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis favorite jewelery designer. 

Nancy's compassion for the sick and dying took her to work as a freelance Home Care worker. Her personal tradegy from losing two children of her own has enable her to relate to grieving families and give comfort and support. She is currently freelancing with her business doing Child Care providing services for families. Her careers have allowed her to meet interesting people from all walks of life. As a result she is able to relate well to others and she is loved by many. She earned her nickname "Cookie" for her warm disposition.  Nancy takes pride in her work and the satisfaction it brings in helping others. It brings out the natural care giver in her.

Growing up, Nancy always had a passion for words and writing.Because she married young, she never fully developed her capacity, nonetheless, when something inspires her, the poet inside her comes out. For the most part, Nancy's poetry is inspired by her personal experiences expecially the poetries about love. She is currently working on her writing and picking up where she left off so many years ago.
