A Birthday Poem For My Precious Daughter

Daughter,
When you where born
You brought joy into my unhappy home
In you I see the child I could have been
Have I had a loving mother,
You are such a happy child
Rarely do I see you cry
Could it be because I'm your mother?
You are loving, caring and sociable
Always helping others
Traits I learned from my father
I passed down to you
Every year we celebrate your birthday
The day you entered the world
The day you entered my life
As you see it is a special day for both of us
God couldn't have giving me a better daughter than you
His gift was so great
I am proud to call you my daughter
I am proud to be your mommy
